ISLAMABAD, Feb 17 (INP): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader, Senator Dr. Shahzad Waseem called on the United Nations (UN) Secretary General Mr. António Guterres who is currently on visit to Pakistan.

During the meeting held here, Senator Dr. Shahzad Waseem and the UN Secretary General discussed issues of bilateral interests and the prevailing global circumstances.

The PTI leader informed the UN SG about the critical role being played by Pakistan to end menace of terrorism and for regional peace.

Mr. António Guterres acknowledged the role of Pakistan in peace keeping, fight against terrorism, expressed concern on human rights abuses in Kashmir.

The UN Secretary General supported Pakistan’s stance on resolving the Kashmir issue as per UN resolutions.
