ISLAMABAD,(INP): NATO Senior Civilian Representative in Afghanistan, Sir Nicholas Kay, who is on visit to Pakistan called on Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Dr. Shahzad Waseem here.

During the meeting, Pak-Afghan bilateral relations came under discussion. Situation emerged after Afghan election remained focus of the meeting.

The PTI leader and NATO Senior Civilian Representative also discussed Pak-Afghan mutual ties and measures needed to mend and improve these historical ties.

The two sides also discussed the prevailing circumstances, current issues faced by the two countries and steps needed for their possible and earliest solution.

Senator Dr. Shehzad Waseem and Sir Nischolas Kay also exchanged views on role of Pakistan in restoring peace in Afghanistan.

The NATO Senior Civilian Representative appreciated Pakistan for its efforts in restoration of regional peace and expressed hope that it will continue to play same role in future.
