CPEC, a flagship project of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), will not only benefit Pakistan and China, but it also presents strategic trade opportunities for the whole region. The landlocked Central Asian countries need better access to regional markets. Leader of the House in Senate of Pakistan Dr. Shahzad Waseem has underlined that CPEC is the closest deep sea port for Central Asian Republics (CARs). The flagship project will provide trade and investment opportunities to CARs.
