Heroshi condoles Peshawar APS terror attack with PTI chief, lauds proposed project of construction of SKMH in provincial capital

Dec 30: Japanese government and people highly value sacrifices of Pakistan to eradicate menace of terrorism and extremism from the country and existing bilateral ties between the two countries.

This was stated by Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan Hiroshi Inomata during his meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan at his Bani Gala residence on Tuesday. Advisor to PTI chief, Dr Shehzad Waseem and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Dr Faisal Sultan were also present on the occasion.

Hiroshi expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the massacre of innocent children in terrorist’s attack on Army Public School (APS) Peshawar on December 16. Besides condoling the tragedy with Imran, he said that entire Japanese nation and government as well was standing with Pakistan in this critical time and share grief of the victim families.

He said that sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in war on terror are matchless and expressed hope that ongoing efforts to flush menace of terrorism and extremism will be led to logical end.

The Ambassador also showed his keen interest in proposed project of constructing Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital (SKMH) in Peshawar and said that it will help in providing better treatment facilities to poor cancer patients belonging to far flung districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) as well.

Hiroshi, on behalf of his government also vowed to continue extending all sorts of cooperation in public welfare projects in future.

Chairman PTI Imran Khan thanked the visiting dignitary for his well wishes and said that Pakistani national highly regards bilateral ties and cooperation with Japan.
